A Visit To Home Office

One of the things that I love the most about my job is the fact that I get to travel. Traveling to home office is always a treat. It doesn’t even feel like work because I get to spend time with my friends and fill my head with knowledge. This time always revives and rejuvenates me. Sometimes it’s not about pampering your body, but about pampering your soul and your mind. People often forget how extremely important that is to do. In fact, it is necessary for your sanity.

So last week, I was blessed to spend 2 days and change at home office with a training that is designed for those of us at the very top of our pay plan. It’s a time for no nonsense, buckling down and…going down the slide that connects the two floors. Everyone has a slide at their office right? No? Well, they should!! And the view from home offices windows…amazing!

The cool thing about this particular training  going to home office is that they went out of their way to make sure that we felt special. They had our names on signs and put our pictures on the wall. Very cool.

I also got to visit with some of my favorite home office people from the CEO of our company to the customer support reps that have to put with angry people when they call. (For the record, I’m always very nice when I call. Everyone deserves a bit of kindness.

For the record, we were giving the stare down to one of the support dudes that we love that just HAD to be in Hawaii that week. How rude. lol Support even printed out this little sheet for us and signed it. That was so great!

We also had some of the most yummy food ever! They fed us Chinese and hoagies and danishes, but my most favorite had to be these two. Tacos with HOMEMADE tortillas and this fancy schmancy dinner we had on our last night!

The real reason we were there was to get some in your face, nitty gritty, training and information. It was raw, it was real, and it was much needed. It allowed us to get our heads in the game and get back into the action. They also made sure that they showed their appreciation of us by not only feeding us amazing food, but also giving us chair massages and swag. I love swag. And look..wine. It’s like they knew us..in our soul knew us.

At the end of our trip, we were given the schmancy dinner, but we were also given a certificate that we were a part of this Alpha Class training. Then, they presented us this  pretty crystal flower which had a quote from a friend in it about us. The crystal, itself, reminded me of the quote from Mulan. “The flower that blooms in adversity is the rarest of them all.” I believe that will be a new tattoo for me one day.

We left off with hugs, smiles and promises to be a badass in our business. We are, after all, business owners. We are in charge of the direction our business, and life, takes you.

I’m forever grateful to the friends I’ve met with this company, the home office staff that I met and our executive team, including our CEO Ann Dalton. Without them, I never would have known my potential. It’s still blooming..like the pretty flower crystal they gave us.

If you want to be a part of this fabulous company, or at least check it out, contact me or click this link to be your own business owner here. Trust me, the worst you can do is get a discount on product…and make friends…and smell good. 🙂
